How long after taking progesterone should I have my period?

Can you answer jacklyn p’s question about Menopause?:
I have been taking it for 10 days now. No period yet. I only have 1-2 periods a year. My MD prescribed progesterone so I should have it at least every 3 months so I will not end up with endometriosis and then cancer.
