Is there a risk of ovarian cancer from hormone replacement therapy?
Answered By Macy Waltersson and Brian Laing, Editors
There are studies which show that hormone
replacement therapy increases the risk of
women to having cancers. The most notable
cancer associated with the use of hormone
replacement therapy is endometrial cancer
wherein a woman's uterus is affected. Another
one is breast cancer. Continuous studies are
being made regarding HRT, and their risks of
cancer. Until not fully proven, women can use
HRT if they think that the benefits it can
give outweigh the risks involved.
