Herbs for Undeniable Menopause Symptoms

By Wan Alamin

The biggest question many women ask about menopause is when it will arrive. Although it would be comfortable to know exactly when one will experience menopause, it differs for every woman.

The average age for women experiencing menopause is at 50, plus or minus several years. Some women get menopause as early as their thirties while others reach it in their sixties. This situation varies according to the genetic. It is wise to ask for advice from the elderly e.g. your grandmother for such information; when she had hers. Genetics has a lot to do with your make-up and apparently, even when your menopause will arrive.

Many women start experiencing symptoms of hormone imbalance from their early thirties to late forties. Such signals are triggered by different hormonal changes as you approach middle age.

Common signs that point to the arrival of menopause include unpredictable and irregular periods or phantom periods, shorter cycles, longer cycles, heart palpitations or irregular heartbeat; mood swings, terrible fatigue, depression, weight gain, anxiety, and especially, increased tension in muscles and headaches.

Also common symptoms include feeling itchy, crawly skin, incontinence; especially upon laughing and sneezing, and burning tongue, or at roof of mouth. What ever it may occur upon you, dont panic. Know that you may only experience some of these symptoms, not all, and not at the same time.

Back to the timing, if you are a smoker, chances that you will experience earlier than those who dont smoke. Women who have both their ovaries removed surgically further experience an abrupt menopause, where their symptoms will appear more severe than those who experience it naturally.

Remember that the severity of your symptoms is linked a lot of other contributing factors like your diet, your physical fitness, your stress levels, and the environmental toxins you are exposed every day. It is very important at this stage to do all you can to make your menopausal transition more comfortable. Exercise, a good diet and a healthy outlook are essential. Despite these methods, do consider herbal medicines as part of your natural aspirated remedies.

Not-so-famous herb called 'Black Cohosh' is renowned of its ability to treat the more common symptoms of menopause like hot flashes and night sweats. This plant, known scientifically as cimicifuga racemose is completely natural and safe. In fact, it was tried and tested for centuries by the North American Indians as well as Asians, and found to be beneficial for menopause relief.

You may not know exactly when menopause will arrive but at least it will not find you unprepared..
